Squirrel Repellant - How to Keep Squirrels Away from Tulips and Pumpkins

Having trouble keeping the squirrels from eating your tulips or other items?  Purchase a fertilizer at your local gardening store that contains blood meal or dried animal blood.  Sprinkle the fertilizer around the area that you would like to keep the squirrels away.  Squirrels hate the smell and will not come near the area!  After a good hard rain, you will need to apply more fertilizer.

Keep Squirrels Away from Your Pumpkins on Halloween

This also works for pumpkins or anything else for that matter.  At Halloween time when I put pumpkins out on my porch, the squirrels like to eat away at them and they end up falling apart.  I sprinkle blood meal all around the pumpkin right there on the porch and they leave them alone!
